In order to finish what I considered to be the basis of our project I finalised which clips we are going to use, put them in order from a more mundane party scene moving on to people acting a little more raucous and then finally added the music. As our track was 4 minutes 10 seconds I decided this was too long so instead I cut it down to 3 minutes 40 seconds and have faded it out to ensure it doesn't finish too abruptly. I then started to trim and rearrange clips so that many of the clips change to the beat.
After this I started changing the aesthetics of the clip. Due to our footage being grainy I have attempted to make this look like our intended effect by adding 'Bleach Bypass' to it, this has given it a more aged feel. Although this has improved the general appearance of our video some of our clips are now quite dark so i've also been fiddling with the brightness, contrast and saturation levels.
The brighter I make it the more grainy it becomes so I won't brighten it too much and really dark is okay because when looking at conventions I highlighted the fact the music videos tended to have low lighting.
Over the next few weeks I'll continue to tweak until the group is happy with the outcome!
