Today we uploaded our footage to the Mac's. It took a while as we had made sure we had over filmed so as to avoid a re shoot and to make sure we had plenty of suitable footage. Whilst this was uploading we familiarised ourselves with iMovie as we have not used this version previously. We decided we prefer the older version but we will soldier on.

There are lots of new transitions but we are unsure if we will use many of them as we want to create a more realistic look and are therefore more likely to use straight cuts. We also discovered beat markers which could come in handy in ensuring that our transitions are on the beat.

Once our footage had uploaded we began browsing through it and choosing which fragments we want to include in our music video. Although these won't necessarily be the clips we use in the final project it's a nice feeling to know that we have begun to build up our project. Due to this we've found we can no longer use beat markers as it would require us deleting the clips we had already chosen and begun to edit so instead we'll work it out in good old fashioned style, by ear.
