As we come to the end of creating our promotional video we have moved onto one of our ancillary tasks; creating and designing an album cover. The alternative to the standard jewel case packaging is the Digipak. It was originally leading musicians who utilised this product as it's basically shatterproof and allows for enhanced graphic display, however this thick card CD case is now reasonably enough priced for almost any project. The Digipak allows the designer to be creative as the amount of panels can be increased from 4 to 8 or more and it can accommodate an extra disc, booklet or whatever takes their fancy, within reason! It's made from 300gsm card with matt or gloss varnish and it's dimensions stand typically at 139.5mm x 125.5mm x 6mm.
