Music Genre: Country

The root of country music lies in Ballads, English songs and Folk Songs. It was originally referred to as hillbilly music but in the 1940’s that expression was deemed as derogatory so the term country music was brought in and became widely accepted in the 1970’s. Old-time country used simple instruments such as guitars and fiddles however as the genre progressed instruments such as drums have been introduced.

- There are numerous close ups of female body parts whereas there are only a few of her face which shows that the male is more interested in her body than her emotions. Furthermore the camera tilts from her legs to her face which resembles the male gaze.

- When focusing on the female the mise-en-scene is romanticised as there are flowers, candles, and low lighting however when the camera is focused on the male the surroundings are blurred to show he is the focus of attention.

- The video makes mundane activities such as shaving her legs and washing look sexual. She is also getting dressed up for him and putting time into her appearance whilst he orders take away showing that she is making more of an effort to please him.
